During the last decades, technology and medicine have brought about many advances in the field of women aesthetics and breast enhancers. One of these advances has been the invention of breast implants. Nowadays, women can have their breast enlarged and reshaped according to their wants by paying for a breast implant. Implants´s costs vary greatly depending on the material used and on the methods followed to perform the surgery. Broadly speaking, the price range for this type of breast enhancer is from $5,000 to $10,000.

These figures, however, are not worldwide set, but may vary greatly from country to country. One of the most relevant factors that determines the price of having a breast implant is the implant´s material. Breast enhancers of this kind can be made of saline or silicone. Saline being the most affordable of the two materials. Regarding the difference between silicone and saline, specialists in breast impants claim that silicone implants look and feel more natural than saline implants.

This factor, however, can also vary depending on the technique used by the surgeon when placing the implants. According to the ASPS (American Society of Plastic Surgeons), in 2005, American surgeons charged an average of $3,406 for breast augmentation surgeries. But that was not the whole prize, but only the surgeon´s fee. To that you had to add the cost for the implants, which varied according to the material -approximately from $1,000 to $1,500-, the anesthesia fee, which was usually $600 to $800, and the facility fee.
